Rockbridge Associates, Inc. Announces New Vice President
Rockbridge Welcomes Joseph A. Bates to Executive Team

Great Falls, VA - November 12, 2007 - Rockbridge Associates, Inc. today announced that Joseph A. Bates has become the organization's newest vice president.

Bates has been conducting various types of qualitative and quantitative research for over 12 years, including holding the position of director of research at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), where he worked for the last 7 years. At CEA he oversaw the consumer research program which focused on consumer technologies, product sales data, trade show, and association research. His research experiences prior to CEA include research in the areas of political polling, healthcare, telecommunications, law, and manufacturing.

Bates has been a guest lecturer on research methods at The College of William and Mary, Northern Virginia Community College, The Greater Washington Society of Association Executives, and the Marketing Research Association.

Bates is a widely recognized expert on consumer technologies and has been interviewed or quoted by major news programs and publications. He has also authored many articles, including “The Looming Broadband Bottleneck” and “The Impact of Recordable High-Definition Content.”

Bates graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William and Mary.
